As one of Florida's most famous lakes, Lake Toho has set numerous records in Bassmaster competition earning it's place as the countries ultimate trophy bass fishing destination. Even before those records were set anglers from all over the country would come to the Kissimmee areas most famous lake wanting to catch trophy bass. Located just South of Orlando, Lake Toho is the first lake in the Kissimmee Chain and is well known for it's ability to produce trophy bass making it a popular bass fishing destination for both recreational and tournament anglers. Magazines such as Bassmaster, In-Fisherman, and Bassin' rate Lake Toho as the nations best lake to go trophy bass fishing. The other lakes in the Kissimmee Chain include Cypress Lake, Lake Hatchineha and lake Kissimmee.

The Headwaters for the Kissimmee River which leads South to Lake Okeechobee, Lake Toho is abundant with natural Florida vegetation as well as Hydrilla which helps provide cover for big bass. A majority of Lake Toho is still owned by cattle ranchers so there are very few homes on the lake allowing anglers to see Florida in it's natural setting. Both live bait and artificial lures account for trophy bass caught but there are certain times during the year where one technique will be most productive. Almost all bass fishing is done in 4 feet or less in thick vegetation using weedless lures. Top water action can be found on any lake in Florida year round but Lake Toho bass can totally demolish top water lures when presented properly.

In a 2001 B.A.S.S. tournament a new record for a 5 bass limit was established when a competitor brought in 45lbs 02 oz of fish to the scales averaging 9lbs per fish! The 4 day record was also established in that tournament at 108lbs 04 oz. While this record has since been broken Lake Toho secured it's place in the record books as one of the best fisheries in the country. Because of Lake Toho's reputation and proximity to the theme parks it is the primary lake for Florida Bass Adventures due to it's consistent ability to produce trophy bass. No other lake in Orlando can match the number of trophy bass that Lake Toho produces day in and day out.
